Hello spring and summer! Just around the corner are warm, sunny days with the promise of outdoor activities like camping, hiking, picnicking, and … insects. Having your lunch, happy hour, BBQ, or dinner on your deck are other treasured events we all enjoy in the warmer months, especially with friends and family. But when the bugs begin to encroach and have their own lunch or dinner on you, it’s time for an innovative device called the Beurer Insect Bite Healer.
The Beurer Insect Bite Healer is a small, hand-held device that applies heat directly to the skin. |
Beurer, a German company in the health and wellness business for more than 100 years, has developed a chemical-free, digital device that relieves the itch, stings and swelling resulting from insect bites. It’s a chemical-free solution to bug bites that works with your body’s own healing processes to provide a soothing sensation and rapid relief. The Beurer Insect Bite Healer dissolves insect venom, saliva, and other irritants left under the skin using a quick-warming ceramic hot plate. It’s a safe and effective way to reduce and heal the assault from bites and stings. Here’s how it works.
This battery-powered, travel-sized device has a button that pulses low and high heat doses. |
Before beginning your treatment, make sure the insect’s stinger has been removed. Using the device as soon as possible after the initial bite yields the best results. Turn on the device. The blue circle light will indicate the device is ready to use. Place the heating plate, a small circle on the underside of the device, directly onto the area that has been stung or bitten. Press the pulse button once for a three-second treatment time (for sensitive skin), or twice for a six-second treatment. The ring light will illuminate and treatment will start.
|
After the selected treatment time, the device will beep and shut off. Sometimes the skin will be slightly red, but healing will have begun. |
