5) The Hotel Telluride in Telluride, CO ‘Heli-of-a-trip’ Ultimate Heli-Skiing Experience
During a ski trip to Telluride, consider taking a few away days to go heli-skiing at Silverton Ski Mountain, a 2-hour drive over Red Mountain Pass. All thrills and no frills, Silverton heli-skiing is safe, affordable, and exhilarating experience. It can be pretty soulful to ski untracked powder from 13,000-foot peaks.
Silverton Mountain is about as close to the purest skiing experience one can find today – an epic mountain, bountiful snowfall (the deep and light Colorado kind!), and none of the distractions of other ski areas of crowded ski areas.
Package Includes: 6 *heli runs with more than 22,000 acres of ski permit terrain in the San Juan Wilderness accessed through Silverton Ski Mountain (includes lunch) 2-night stay in a Deluxe King at The Hotel Telluride Breakfast for two daily Two 50-minute Spa treatments.
Cost: ($2,699 for two)
Booking Details: Silverton Heli is ideal for those who may be looking for a new or different experience. Highly challenging terrain makes Silverton Heli unique and provides a great opportunity for expert and advanced skiers and boarders to test their limits. For moderate ability skiers and riders, less consequential lower angle terrain is available when a group of four clients, of equal skill level, book together (so they don’t slow down faster paced skiers).
Pricing above is based on 2 people (double occupancy). Customized pricing for larger groups or one person can be accommodated.
Package dates run from December 1, 2012-April 6, 2013 and must be booked no later than December 31, 2012. Package is subject to availability and contingent on weather. Some blackout dates might apply.
